Certains japonais pensent que le cerisier en fleur a une durée de vie de plus de mil ans.
Dans ce film, quand je demande aux gens de parler d’eux à la troisième personne, certains sont incapable de détacher leur discours de la première personne.
Les danseurs étaient dans le même cas, quelque uns pouvait danser à la troisième personne et d’autre non.
On ne se souvient de rien avant notre naissance. On ne se souvient de rien avant trois ans. Je ne peux me souvenir de tout. Je n’ai pratiquement aucun souvenir de mon enfance.
Il s’agit d’un documentaire sur le souvenir. J’interroge certaines personne pendant la saison des cerisiers en fleur.

Some Japanese believe that cherry blossom trees have a life span of more than one thousand years.
When I asked the people in this film to talk about their childhood in the third person,some of them were unable to separate their language from the first person. The dancers were much the same. We can’t remember anything before our birth. We can’t separate the past and the present. This is a documentary about remembering. I interviewed these people during the cherry blossom season.

これは日本人が何故花見をするのかということからはじまりました。桜の寿命は千年以上あると幾人かの日本人は信じてます。このフィルムの中の人達に彼らの 幼少時の話を三人称で話してもらった時、幾人かは自分の言葉を一人称から切り離して話すことは出来ませんでした。ダンサーも又同じでした。私達は生まれる 以前のことを何も覚えていません。また私達は過去と現在を切り離すことが出来ません。これは記憶についてのドキュメンタリーです。このインタビューは桜の 季節にされました。

This work is an homage to Taro Okamoto. He was a Japanese artist noted for his abstract and avant-garde paintings and sculpture. He lived in Paris from 1930 to 1940.He is known for his witticisms such as “Art is an explosion.””Art is magic.” He is also famous for his work “Tower of the Sun”,which became the symbol for the Expo in Osaka in 1970.We started creating from inspiration of his painting. What happens it if his picture is shown with dance and objets? And we choose the antique market of France as an environment that remains evocative of the 1930′s. The market is a place of exchange where the value of objets re-create , cast-on and pass through money to change owners. Some of the value of these objets is in the charge of old meaning left by previous owner.

これの作品は岡本太郎へのオマージュです。彼は抽象画家、彫刻家として有名な日本人アーティストで1930年から1940年までパリに住んでいました。彼 の名言としては「芸術は爆発だ」「芸術は呪術だ」などが知られている。また彼の有名な作品として1970年大阪万博のシンボルとなった”太陽の塔”が挙げ られます。私達は彼の画からのインスピレーションからでたらめに創作をはじめました。彼の画をダンスとオブジェで表すとどうなるのか？そして30年代から 変わらずあるであろうフランスの骨董市の場所を選びました。誰かにとって身近にあって値打ちのなくなったものが、誰かにとっては価値のあるものに変わる場 所。人がいなくなっても、物から触れていた人を感じ取ることが出来るのです。

There’s an esoteric programming language which creates specific language in contradiction to “Readability”and “Understanding easiness”,and the practicality is not. It is popular among hackers etc….They made the various language pattern by the design and play this kind of joke activity. It is the experience of understanding the content from talker’s gesture when the spoken language is not understood,These dances are interpretations of the phrase”Hello world” translated into esoteric code. Behind by the task of create 2 phrases of 8.The code appears in the subtitles. This might be needless but what is necessity?

コンピューターのプログラミング言語に難解プログラミングと呼ばれるものがある。意図的に「可読性」「理解容易性」に反する言語仕様を持たせ、実用性はな い。ハッカーなどに人気があり、言語パターンはデザイン等で遊ばれている。この映画の中でのサブタイトルのパターンはほぼ同じ意味で、ダンサーは同リズム をベースにジェスチャー翻訳している。コミュニケーションの為の言語には幅があり、この言語は多分不必要であるが、必要なものとは一体何だろうか？
